§ 6-10-6. Attack by dangerous dog.

  • A person commits an offense if the person is the owner of a dangerous dog and such dog commits:

    (a)

    An attack on a person that causes bodily injury and occurs in a place other than a secure enclosure in which the dog was being kept;

    (b)

    An act that causes a person to reasonably believe that the dog may attack that person and cause bodily injury or harm to that person and such act occurs in a place other than a secure enclosure in which the dog was being kept; or

    (c)

    An unprovoked attack on another dog that injures or harms such dog and such unprovoked attack occurs in a place other than a secure enclosure in which the dog committing the attack was being kept.
